How the drill works

This drill is full size field of 11v11 of red and blue bib players. Red Team (4-3-3): Focuses on pressing and counter-attacking. Blue Team (4-4-2): Structured in possession and transitions quickly to defense after losing the ball. Starting Play: The coach initiates the drill by passing the ball to a specific zone or player (e.g., a center-back, winger, midfield pivot, G.K). The receiving team becomes the managing team (in possession), and the opposing team becomes the coaching team (pressing and counter-attacking). Press and Recover: The coaching team (e.g., Red Team) must immediately press to recover the ball. After regaining possession, they counter-attack by exploiting spaces and aiming to score within a set time frame (e.g., 8-10 seconds). Switch Play: After ball got finished or goes out the coach stops play and passes to a new area. Teams must adapt to the new situation and roles based on the coach’s command. Dynamic Switching: The coach alternates the managing and coaching teams frequently, keeping players engaged and reactive to the flow of play.
